Inaugurated in 20th February 1947 over 1204 square meter, this side of the building consists of two floors:
The lower, which consists of nine halls, displays in the first and second hall limestone statues representing the transition between paganism and christianity.
The other seven halls present to visitors crowns and limestone stelaes with few fresco paintings.
The upper floor: The eight halls of it are divided as follows:
1-Manuscripts section :
700 important books and 1000 documents are exhibited in this hall. The average pages of a book range from 40 to 150, while the manuscripts are in paper and linen. A library for the logical philosophers exhibits 578 papyri. The oldest manuscripts are written in Greek while others are written in Greek with Coptic translation. the largest collection of documents is in Coptic language this section includes documents in Coptic with Arabic translation

4-Ivory and bone section.
5-Metals section.
The library is divided into two parts. The printed – books section
.includes almost 7 thousand
books the manuscripts section host a wide variety of Coptic document a restoration section is specially setup to restore all objects displayed in the museum .
